Medallions for Roosevelt Road
Flat Medallions applied with custom designed vinyl, attached to OF and OD arms with Sternberg Omega 1531LED pendents. Roosevelt Road, a major east-west street in the city of Chicago was part of an ambitious $9.5 million roadway project. The Medallions reflect the road's joint development funding spanning three communities, Oak Park, Berwyn, and Cicero. The project was recognized by the International Economic Development Council.
Vintage Art-Deco Poles
Sternberg's recreation of this vintage art-deco styled twin arm and prismatic acorn luminaires can be found throughout Chicago's downtown cityscape. This intricate Victorian-inspired luminaire dates back to Chicago's 1920's, with the twin-arm pole design specifically implemented to provide illumination for both pedestrians and motorists. The poles also feature art-deco styled braclets and base castings, all fabricted at Sternberg.
Color-Changing (RGBW) Bridge Assembly
The Whittemore Bridge in Naugatuck CT was reconstructed in 2018, highlighted with Sternberg's Libertyville 1914LED pendant mounted on custom pole assemblies that encase color-changing (RGBW) illuminated tubes. Along with extended arms bearing the City of Naugatuck seal, this distinguish and striking assembly is a triumph of design and engineering.
Gateway Arch
Nothing welcomes visitors to your downtown district like a dramatic gateway arch. Sternberg has designed and help fabricate numerous archways for communities across the United States. Often in conjunction with the lighting pole selection for the main street within. Show here, Algonquin Illinois' business district was revitalized in 2019 with an expansion of the downtown streetscape opening with a stunning gateway arch with an illuminated township logo.
Logo Medallions
It's all in the details. The Village of Enumclaw WA displays Sternber's Custom Logo (CL) featuring a scripted "E" within the ring medalion of the Cambridge A78LED luminaire. A simple and elegant branding for your community, campus, or business complex. Also available with other caged acorn models.
Prairie Grilles
Customize any of our Prairie family luminaires with your design, creating a one-of-a-kind Mission style luminaire. Shown here, the residential community of Empire Pass in Park City UT features our Homestead II 0690LED hand finished in Verde Green, with a laser cut feather grille over our Art Glass Brown (AGB) Marble Lens.
Catenary
Catenary pendants are mounted on suspended cables above roadways or pedestrian gathering areas. As shown here in the Bottleworks District in Indianapolis, Sternberg can help create a unique ambience created by catenary lighting along with our steel strained pole support structures, which can also support string lighting. Our catenary selections are part of expanded post top and downlighting families.
Fitters and Poles
Sternberg's Euro E460LED luminaires with custom fitters line the charming downtown of Wheaton IL. Glass refractors add sparkle to the LED powered luminaires. Gateway 3330 poles are stylishly cut for string lights and specialized finials. Arm fittings for traffic light assemblies are also a part of this stunning installation.
Ornate Pole Creations
Sternberg crafted these very intricate ornate Globe post top poles and wall mounted arms for the William T. Fitzsimons Memorial Fountain in Kansas City. This historic memorial fountain is embedded in curved Dakota limestone commemorating the remembrance of the first American officer to give his life in the first World War.
Custom Coatings
El Monte CA is a bustling city located in the San Gabriel Valley, known for its vibrant culture and historical attractions. Welcoming Ramona Blvd motorists into town is a vibrant custom blue finished lighting display featuring Sternberg's Millenia ML660 post tops, with pedestrian level Millenia ML630 pole mounted luminaires.
Historic Replica
Who made those original lanterns? Clayton Missouri's streets were filled with a unique acorn style only found within the city. The manufacturer no longer available, Sternberg took to task to recreate and LED upgrade on the original design. Sternberg's Clayton 1380LED post top luminaire is now a standard Sternberg product, and is a testament of how we can recreate most any historic luminaire you send our way.
Decorative Arm
This Custom R2 arm was designed for the City of Collinsville IL, adding a lovely ornate and historic touch with our Galesburg 1921LED pendants.

Grand Avenue in Spencer Iowa certainly made a grand statement with a custom quad Prairie pole installation from Sternberg. Designed and fabricated right here at the Sternberg factory, is an impressive display of our custom capabilities.
Rancho Bernardo "S" Arms
The Eastview community of Racho Bernardo in San Fransico, feature Sternberg's Revere 1335LED luminaires mounted specially with custom casted scrolled "S" shaped arms, affixed with custom clamps.
Replicate Existing Luminaire
The Rialta RW840 is a complete custom luminaire design, replacing an existing HID luminaire on 8" diamater pole assemblies along Collns Avenue in Miami Beach FL.
Signage
Sternberg offers roadway and pedestrian signage customized for your specifications. Sternberg uses weather resistant heavy gauge aluminum in various shapes and sizes to meet your requirements. All Sternberg poles can be used for sign installations, ideally to match your lighting pole installations.
