In 2019, Algonquin Illinois completed a revitalization of its "Old Town" Main Street district, with an expansion of the downtown streetscape. This capitalized on a desired transformation from an automobile dependent district to pedestrian-oriented environment. A gateway arch and bridge pergola was constructed over the bridge, new brick sidewalks, parking access, landscaping, and Sternberg LED lighting were installed.
