A recently completed $11 million renovation of the 5th Street bridge in Augusta GA has transformed the structure spanning the Savannah River into a waterside attraction named the Freedom Bridge. Benches, colorful shades and water features mix with painted surfaces, interactive and playground styled activities to accommodate and entertain pedestrians of all ages.
