  • The City of Huntington Beach CA has installed Old Town A850SRLED fixtures.
  • This installation is a premier example of state of the art LED "Adaptive Street Lighting".
  • Huntington Beach saves energy and provides increased safety by varying the street light levels based on the level of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
  • Existing high pressure sodium 2100K temperature luminaires were replaced with Sternberg UNRIVALED 3500K temperature luminaires.
  • Each luminaire is fully dimmable through wireless controls. Light levels are dimmed during off peak hours saving energy.
  • Light levels are increased during high traffic hours providing added safety.
  • 42 of our A850ASRLEDs in 3500K color temperature are installed on Main Street, between PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) and Orange Street.
  • Our fixtures were installed onto existing concrete poles and arms.
  • Our 96-watt LED acorns replaced existing 150HPS prismatic acorns that were drawing 188 total system watts each.
  • We provided a wireless control system that allows City Hall and/or the Police to adjust light levels.
  • The city raises light levels on the weekends, and also lowers levels each night/early morning in order to achieve energy savings.
  • The luminaires provide the highest illumination while maintaining uniformity without glare.
  • The control system includes real time energy reporting and diagnostics.
  • The A850SRLED luminaire won the Next Generation Lighting Award sponsored by the Department of Energy.
  • The A850SRLED Old Town Series luminaire combines an acorn-style lens with a down lighting LED board mounted in the cast aluminum top.
